Among the Best of the Web marketing

The sundown car rally where motorists explored the "Wild West" region of Singapore (Kranji, Sembawang, Woodlands) in December 2010, climaxed a series of innovative marketing initiatives by the NCS Portal City team celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the ONE.MOTORING portal (www.onemotoring.com.sg).

The year-long programme of activities also included I Love My Wheels photo contest and Great Appreciation Giveaway of goodies to motorists.

Such effort has not gone unnoticed and ONE.MOTORING was nominated as a finalist in min's Best of the Web awards Best Marketing Campaign category, against the likes of established international brands Conde Nast, Cosmopolitan, PEOPLE and the likes.

On the nomination, Eugenia Tan, Marketing Director of NCS Portal City, the team that operates some of Singapore's largest public portals, says: "Having the services on the portal is great, but people need to know it exists and how it works. This is where marketing plays an important role.

"By engaging our members through digital communications channels which they are familiar with, and through events like the car rally and the giveaways, it provided us a great way for us to share with them some of the key features of the portal in a fun way."

ONE.MOTORING also won an Outstanding Award at the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore's Web Excellence Awards 2010.

min's Best of the Web awards are the industry's top honours in the digital space, recognising outstanding Web sites and digital initiatives among consumer and B2B media companies.
