Application to be an approved CNG system supplier
Providers of CNG conversion on vehicles (workshops) or CNG system suppliers have to provide LTA with necessary documentation and certification to prove that
a) the CNG systems supplied comply with established standards for such systems in vehicles, such as the Technical Reference TR11:2003 - CNG vehicle component and installation (Note: To provide for safe and functional CNG installations in vehicles, this TR specifies requirements for the installation, commissioning, certification and periodic inspection of CNG systems on vehicles); and
b) the vehicle installed with the system can meet our vehicle construction and safety requirements.
Please refer to Annex A and B for details. Similarly, vehicle dealers who wish to import CNG vehicles into Singapore also need to do so.
(Note: All workshops that carry out CNG conversions for vehicle are subject to licensing conditions stipulated by the Singapore Civil Defence Force).
The relevant documentation/certification are to be forwarded to the Vehicle Engineering Division of LTA at 10 Sin Ming Drive, Singapore 575701.
