In April 2007, the LTA launched the Electronic Vehicle Recall System (EVRS) to automate the vehicle recall process and bring convenience to the motor dealers.

With EVRS, motor dealers can now access the latest vehicle ownership information of vehicles affected by recalls. This ensures vehicle owners receive the recall notification letters sooner, and affected vehicles are rectified earlier. With the information, motor dealers could also plan more accurately for rectification works. This reduces wastage of parts and lowers the cost of performing such rectification works.

In addition, the motoring public can enquire via EVRS recent vehicle recalls affecting vehicles registered in Singapore, and whether their vehicles are affected by these recalls.
