A project by two engineers, Ben Scott-Geddes and Graham Halstead, who were part of the McLaren F1 development team, the Freestream F1 is a 1000bhp per tonne sports car. The Freestream F1 is designed for both road and track use. The developers claim that this ultra-light two-seater can offer a near Formula One experience with high-tech aerodynamics and chassis.

The duo plans to launch the car later this year for about £150,000 and plan to make 25 cars per year. The feather weight (465kg) racer develops 480bhp from a bespoke 2.4-litre V8 F1-specification engine. The driver and passenger will experience extremely rapid acceleration as well as 3g cornering and braking performance.

What they're doing is actually throwing the rule book back to the customers to give them what they want-an uncompromised performance experience that is safe to drive at the same time.
