A new model in the Volkswagen Polo range has just been revealed. Called the Polo Dune, it aims to extend the appeal of the supermini with its 4x4 appearance. Shrouded in distinctive 17-inch alloy wheels, the five-door Dune has unique bumpers, side and wheel-arch protection, silver coloured roof rails and door mirrors plus raised suspension for better off-road manoeuvrability.
Its interior features chrome-plated instrumentation, aluminium-look pedals, sports seats and leather trimmed steering wheel and handbrake grip. The equipment list is impressive - semi-automatic climate control, electric windows, onboard computer, MP3-enabled audio system, fog lamps and electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors. Engine choice includes a 1.4-litre petrol unit with 75bhp. It isn't short on safety features either - ABS with HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assist), front driver and passenger airbags, side airbags and flat-tyre indicator.
