If your idea of a sporty coupe is to be able to feel the bump of every stone and crack on the road up your bottom, this isn't for you.

This car stands at a notch or two below the 335i Coupe, with its straight-six putting out 218 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 250 Nm of torque from 2,750 to 4,000 rpm. With that kind of figures, it manages to pull itself to a hundred in just under 7 seconds.

Speed

Yet, it doesn't feel that quick. In fact, it feels like it accelerates much slower than that. When you put your foot down and watch the speedometer rise, you can't help but notice that there is a good amount of low end torque.

But that's about all. Once the revs rise and the horsepower takes over, it feels lacking in some way and the engine is trying its best to hit to redline. So you probably might not notice that because its six cylinders rev all the way up to 6,500 rpm like as if it was blending some whipping cream.

Being smooth is not the only thing its engine is capable of - its interior is also feels one step from being a Zen garden. Filled with cream-toned leather and blended perfectly with its wood-like panels, the sense one would get the moment you opened the door to step in would be more than welcoming.

It is spacious enough to fit four adults comfortably without fuss, and probably enough golf bags to make the other golfers in the club's parking lot feel envious.

When shown a corner or two, it seemed a tad bit reluctant to dive in the bends and launch itself out with the grace and grip one would normally expect from this Bavarian.

It had noticeable roll and started to feel lazy, yet it had just almost enough tenacity to make it that bit more exciting. So after a few more tries, we gave up, barely satisfied, and headed back to waltz around the city streets instead.

Being Eye and Cotton Candy

Tootling around town in this car would probably be the most politically correct way to use it, it seems. Especially with its handsome, masculine looks, it is without a doubt a head-turner. And it's not just the ladies.
Guys, too, would be spending more than just a second having a good look at it, usually only when they see that the person behind the wheel is, in fact, a gorgeous young lady.

That is the splendid factor about this car's design - even though it is supposed to be on the manly side of things, it isn't so chauvinistic with its lines that it would make a woman driving it look more Abigail than Andrea de Cruz. Unless, of course, she already does look like the former

While cruising about, it is very comfortable. Perhaps almost like riding on candy floss. The spring/struts up front and multi linked rears will soak up bumps quite effortlessly and uneven surfaces with much grace.

The perfect mix of its hearty low-end and business-class ride will definitely set a smile on your face and distract you from concentrating on doing much enthusiastic driving.

And adding to that long list of creature comforts to spoil you is BMW's brilliant cruise control system. Within a few minutes, you would be able to get familiar with the sturdy stalk which controls its speed.

All you need to do to set it to cruise, accelerate, cancel the cruise or even brake, can be done by either a push or a pull. It is as idiot-proof as can be.

But as we are not really big fans of lazy driving, even on the highway, we switched it off and headed for some proper roads. That was when it reinforced my prior sentiments that it was, essentially, a beautiful town cruiser.
We would buy it because...

Interestingly, trundling along normal roads put more of a smile on our faces than it had when driven hard. It just felt right in these situations, not so much blitzing down bends and turns, and one couldn't help feeling like a tourist when gently cruising around.

Taking your time to enjoy the town roads or the city's sights and sounds, this car was perfectly in place there. It is not too flashy, nor is it "just another car" - it catches enough attention without bringing along too many of those inevitable evil-green-eyes.

The 325i Coupe for those who like to parade about in style and coziness, and the twin-turbo'd 335i to appease those with the devil inside. After all that, we couldn't help but think what a brilliant seating this car had - and it's not just the comfort we're referring to.
