Forty-one participants in 12 cars embarked with AA officials and mechanics for a three day, two night retreat Swiss Garden, Damai Laut from 3 to 5 September.

Participants experienced a weekend of rest and relaxation with spa and leisure activities. A half-day trip to nearby Pangkor Island saw participants visiting the old Dutch Fort, shopping for dried fish products and souvenirs from the quaint town of Pulau Pangkor.

A surprise visit to a turtle sanctuary offered the very rare sight of endangered turtles and the hatching of baby turtles. Everyone enjoyed every moment of it!

Member Mr Teo Kim Kiat who joined AA on the road trip had a wonderful time, "The boat ride to Pangkor Island and driving up to Damai Luat was a memorable experience. Kudos to the AA team for all the assistance!"

Mr and Mrs Chiam also found such road trips unique: "Directions were available to allow passengers to play an active role in navigating the driver, and this makes the journey very interesting. Excellent service was rendered by the AA officials to make sure we're alright!"
