Friends from ONE.MOTORING Meet Up
It was a cool Sunday morning. The skies were clear and the weather was fine. Five Picanto owners with their family and friends from the LTA's ONE.MOTORING forum met up at the carpark of Woodlands Swimming Pool. RainCCat and his family was in a diamond blue Picanto, shan22 and her hubby in a scarlet red, picaspeed with her hubby pica7 in a cobalt blue, Orange Pica in an orange, and alvin81 with friends in a galaxy black.
All of us had a mini-gathering to complain about how early we woke up, how unwilling we were to get out of bed and how some of us came late. We all filled up our white card that RainCCat distributed. RainCCat also gave out the walkie-talkies (that were loaned to us by ONE.MOTORING) to each driver. Once the setting up and testing of the walkie-talkies and also briefing by RainCCat was done, all of us hopped onto our respective rides and five engines roared all at once. That, marked the start of the first ever road trip by the members from the ONE.MOTORING Forum.
Danga Bay for Breakfast
|
We headed towards Danga Bay via the Woodlands causeway. Everything was smooth sailing as RainCCat gave some good directions through the walkie-talkies. We kept close but safe distances to one another. Stopping at Danga Bay for breakfast as planned, many of the stalls were not open due to the early hours. Nevertheless, we all had some simple but tasty nasi lemak, mee hoon soto and fried chicken wings. The sea breeze kept blowing as all of us sat down together to enjoy our breakfast and the beautiful view of the Johore Straits. Just as we left Danga Bay for Kota Tinggi, it started to drizzle.

To Kota Tinggi Falls for the Scenic View
Leading us from Danga Bay to Kota Tinggi Falls, RainCCat's planned route was a rather scenic one. From an urbanised area, we entered vast plain fields and soaring hills and the greenery really relaxes our eyes. Part of the road was quite "curvy" and shan22's husband nearly did a drift like those seen in Initial D. Like what RainCCat said before, it's called professional display. We saw quite a few local and foreign visitors at the fall. Some were soaking themselves in the water whilst others were having a picnic.

At the Kota Tinggi Falls, everyone flashed their smiles for the cameras and RainCCat had the honour of taking a picture with all the ladies from the road trip. We explored further into the park and took turns to take pictures along the way. Shan22 definitely enjoyed having her pictures taken and her hubby definitely enjoy taking pictures. What a good match! RainCCat's daughter went into the waters but only her hair got wet. It's quite a mystery how she managed to keep her clothes dry. Although the drizzle got heavier, our spirits were not dampened by it. We just waited for another fellow member, Pika, to arrive in their samba green before heading to Jusco for shopping and lunch.

Drive to the newly-opened Jusco at Tebrau City
Pika's hubby took the lead and led us to the newly opened Jusco at Tebrau City. Empty parking lots were a bit difficult to find on a Sunday but we managed to park together at the basement carpark. At Jusco, we decided to go free and easy and meet up at 3pm; searching for food separately. There were many theme restaurants and fast food joints in Jusco. From Chinese restaurants to Italian restaurants, KFC to Yoshinoya, take your pick! Jusco shopping centre also has a wide variety of food selection. They have packed sushi and bento sets, pizzas, fried chicken wings, sticks of scallops in gravy and packed rice set that comes with fishballs, fried chicken wings and vegetables. The packagings were also very nice and the price is very affordable.
