The humble petrol injector is one of the most important factors in a car's performance. Yet we often overlook and neglect them during the servicing process.

Tests have shown that just a tiny amount of fuel contaminant buildups within an injector can reduce the flow of petrol through that particular injector by up to 25%. More than the efficiency of the fuel consumption, symptoms such as poor starting of engines, excessive exhaust emissions, lack of power and poor overall vehicle performance will start to kick in once contaminants start to clog up the petrol injectors.

Fortunately, ASNU have come up with the perfect solution to this problem. The ASNU workshop injector diagnostic and cleaning system tests a car's petrol injectors, identifies the exact problems with flow rates and spray patterns. It then uses ultrasonic waves to clean the injectors, making them as good as new.

ASNU have created a system called "Injector Diagnostics", a Testing & Servicing programme where the Injectors Valve Seating, Coil Dynamic Resistance, Fuel Distribution, Fuel Droplet Formation, Fuel Atomisation and Fuel Delivery, are all visually, physically checked and tested as a starting point rather than a last resort. The injectors will be cleaned using a special biodegradable liquid and ASNU's custom tuned Ultrasonic bath. The rubber sealing o-rings, plastic protection caps and filter baskets are replaced before re-testing, ensuring all the injectors are performing as a matched, balanced set. The results will then be presented in a detailed report sheet with the before and after to the owner or mechanic.

Without "Injector Diagnostics", it is impossible for workshops to solve the problems of Fuel Injected engines correctly and efficiently. Servicing Injectors will also save time and money on Service and Repair bills, prolong the life of Inlet & Exhaust Valves, Piston Compression Rings, Lambda/Oxygen Sensors and the Catalytic Exhaust System.

What about the chemical cleaners some car owners are currently using?

1. In-tank chemical cleaning can only clean the parts they can touch, missing critical areas where they can't clean.
2. Can't identify leaking injectors, dirty filters, weak return springs, poor spray pattern and unusual high coil resistance
3. No parts are replaced and you have no way of knowing what condition they are in.
4. These additives often coat the internal components of the injector, restricting the fuel flow and pintle travel. The coating also increases the surface tension as the fuel exits the injector, causing a drag effect and by doing so, creating a larger droplet of fuel or less atomisation.
