If you are a regular car user, this service looks to be the long-term solution for that bad stench and odours coming from your car.

Iogenic is a dedorising treatment using special photo-catalytic spray technology that can be sprayed everywhere in the car by trained consultants. Once the car is coated with the Iogenic coated protection, the effect will stay for at least three years.

Set off by the ultra-violet or normal sunlight, it dedorises by breaking down odour and cleans the air of pollutants. It is especially useful for those who have allergies and asthma, as it soothes the air; making it easier for them to breathe.


Already a popular treatment in Japan used in cars and public transport, it is now available in Singapore through Nanoaq. In fact, Cycle and Carriage is using it to treat the Mitsubishi Grandis, a family MPV as part of the deal for buying the car.

The Iogenic treatment is a very thorough process. Even before the actual process, the car interior is wiped lightly with a mild detergent to remove any oil particle that has collected over the surface. The deeper treatment comes next, and this requires a device called an IO - Jet to be placed at the back seat of the car to treat the interiors for about 10 to 15 minutes.

With this treament, the air-con ducts are also cleaned as the Iogenic treament is sprayed into the vents. This is important for safety reasons as drivers may feel tired and sleepy when the air they breathe is not cleaned.
