We all know that the normal waxes for your car don't last. In a short time, you often see your car losing its shine and dirty stains ends up blotching on its surface. In time, you'll probably have to wax it again to protect the paint job of the car. The wax melts especially when the surface of your car heats up. Dirt will be absorbed into your car's paint job. At the moment, there're two more popular types of coating that can be applied to protect your car surface at a cost : The PPS Formula and Permegard.

PPS Formula

Applying negative charged anionic PTFE on painted body.

This formula comes with a reputation that precedes it. It is a known fact that the US Navy uses the formula to protect its battleships from the harsh weather conditions out at sea.

The two-step chemical fusion process is said to magnetically bond Telfon to the paint finish to last and maintains the shine by repelling ultraviolet rays.

This technology works by using a patented PPS formula that protects your paint job with PTFE (Polytetrafluorethylene), which is a slippery substance or slick that repels dirt and keeps the car clean. The paint is sealed and protected with the PTFE formula by applying negatively charged Teflo to a positively charged painted surface.

Permagard Paint Protection

Permagard is developed in the South of France near Cannes and is a leading car and boat care company. Though more popular in the European markets, Permegard is slowly making itself known in the Asian market. Its exterior system is a clear and high gloss reactive plastic coating that protects the paint from dirt and with it no waxing is needed.

The system is also being used in Asian Motorsport on Japanese GT 2003 champion, Michael Krumm's Nissan race car.

It is a substance like liquid cream and is spread, and press onto the paint by using an orbital machine. Not abrasive, it will form a tough layer of deep gloss plastic protection film. It serves to protect the car paint by increasing the thickness on the paint surface.
