You have read about cases of road structures being hit by over-height vehicles. The injured driver or passenger will be sent to the hospital but how about the "bruised" road structures?
Upon notification by the Traffic Police, the Land Transport Authority will send a team of engineers down to access the damages. The affected traffic lanes will be closed for the safety of road users. Repair works are usually conducted at night from 11.00pm till 4.30am, and the repairs are generally done by:

b) Pre-stressing steels or bars are exposed for assessment
c) Steel bars are treated with primer, a protective coating before covering up
d) Formwork is put up for the repair work
e) Repair work in progress
f) Repair work completed
Road Structures Maintenance and ChecksLTA carries out inspection on the road structures at least once a year.
