The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is pleased to award the contract for the construction of a vehicular bridge over Sungei Serangoon to Hock Lian Seng Infrastructure Pte Ltd.

When the project is completed by the second quarter of 2009, motorists travelling from Sengkang and Punggol New Towns will enjoy a direct access to the Kallang/Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) and smoother traffic flow.

The contract, worth S$33.9 million, involves the construction of a dual three-lane vehicular bridge across Sungei Serangoon, to connect Buangkok Drive from Upper Serangoon Road/Sengkang East Drive to Tampines Road. A flyover connecting to the KPE and Tampines Road will also be constructed.
