The Land Transport Authority is pleased to announce the completion of the road widening project along a stretch of the Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim for about 400m before Tuas West Drive from a 3 lane carriageway to a 4-lane carriageway. The widened carriageway was opened to traffic on Saturday, 25 August 2007 at 10.00am.
With the completion of the project, it provides extra road capacity to cater for the expected increase in volume of heavy vehicles going to Tuas Checkpoint as well as to facilitate smooth turning movement for localised traffic from Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim to Tuas West Drive.
