The road improvement works to Jalan Loyang Besar and Pasir Close commenced on 18 December 2006 and was completed on 17 December 2007.
The project involved the widening of two roads, Jalan Loyang Besar and Pasir Ris Close from a dual 2 lane to dual 3 lane carriageway and realignment of Jalan Loyang Besar near Loyang Besar Close to improve traffic condition in the area. The project also involved the design and construction of new reinforced concrete box culvert, and construction of the drain works, bus shelter and bus bay, and ancillary works.
The contract, worth $2.92 million, was undertaken by Tong Shing Contractors Pte Ltd.
