The Land Transport Authority had carried out the road improvement works at the junction of Tampines Avenue 2, Tampines Street 23 and Tampines Street 32 since early May 2010.

The improvement works involved the widening of slip road from Tampines Street 32 to Tampines Avenue 2 from a single-lane road to a two-lane road, improvement to the bus bay at Tampines Avenue 2 and other associated works. The improvement works were completed and the road was fully opened to traffic on 30 September 2010.
