The Land Transport Authority has awarded the contract to Samwoh Corporation Pte Ltd.

The $57.5 million contract commenced in the first quarter of 2009 and involves the upgrading of the junction of West Coast Highway and Clementi Road, including the construction of a flyover. The flyover was opened on 3 July 2011.

With the new flyover, motorists heading towards the city or Jurong Town Hall Road will bypass the junction and can expect a smoother drive.

Additionally, two new sheltered pedestrian overhead bridges with ramps and covered linkways across West Coast Highway connecting to bus stops have also been opened
for use.

LTA wil continue to carry out the remaining road works at the junction below the flyover, and the works are expected to be completed by September 2011.
