The Land Transport Authority (LTA) awarded the above contract to Lam Chuan Construction Pte Ltd.
The contract, worth $820,000, involved widening the junctions of Sims Way/Geylang Road and Sims Way/Sims Avenue by an additional lane in the direction towards PIE.
The road widening project helped to increase the capacity of the junctions at these roads.
With the project completion on 2 December 2007, motorists travelling between the PIE and Mountbatten Road now enjoy smoother traffic flow.
