From 20 December 2008 onwards, special yellow boxes and triangular give way to buses markings will be painted in front of selected bus stops along Bukit Batok East Avenue 3, Toh Tuck Road and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8. Signs will also be installed ahead of these bus stops to warn motorists they are approaching a bus stop where they must give way to buses.
 
 
The new Tanjong Rhu Bridge linking Tanjong Rhu Road with Stadium Crescent/Stadium Walk was opened to traffic on 30 November 2008. Motorists heading from Tanjong Rhu to Nicoll Highway will reduce their travel time by as much as five minutes
if they choose to use the bridge, helping to ease traffic along Mounbatten Road and Fort Road.
 
The new vehicular interchange between the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) and Bedok North Avenue 3 was opened to
traffic on 29 November 2008. The new interchange will serve
as an alternative to the two existing interchanges with the PIE
at Bedok North and Simei.
 
To facilitate the construction of the road tunnel as part of the Woodsville Interchange upgrading, the current ERP gantry at Bendemeer Road will be temporarily relocated about 100 metres further down the road until end 2011. The installation of the new gantry is expected to be completed in December 2008.
