Three stretches of normal bus lanes along Raffles Avenue,
Raffles Boulevard and St Andrew's Road were converted to full-day bus lanes on 22 December 2008, marking the completion of the expansion of the bus lane scheme which started in June 2008.
 
 
The temporary vehicular viaduct along Cross Street will be
opened in phases starting from 28 December 2008 onwards.
The viaduct enables motorists travelling to New Bridge Road
to by-pass four busy junctions along Cross Street. On 28 December 2008, the current one-way traffic at China Street
was also converted to partial two-way traffic to cater to motorists
accessing China Street from Pickering Street.
 
A stretch of new road is being constructed to link Pasir Ris
Central Street 3 (in front of White Sands Shopping Centre) to
Pasir Ris Central. Upon completion, the existing two-way traffic
at Pasir Ris Central Street 3 will be converted to a one-way road.
 
The stretch of Old Airport Road between Cassia Link and Guillemard Camp Road was reopened on 29 December 2008.
