The new 1.32km road link, which consists of a 200m vehicular bridge across Sungei Serangoon (Buangkok Bridge) and a flyover over KPE (Buangkok Flyover), was officially opened to traffic on 22 March.
 
 
The next generation In-vehicle Unit (IU), or dual-mode IU, is available for new taxis and vehicles other than cars from 25 March 2009; and for cars from end-June this year.

Motorists with vehicles fitted with the dual-mode IU can use the new CEPAS-compliant ez-link card for ERP payments immediately. However, they cannot use it for parking payments until Electronic Parking System car parks are progressively upgraded from October 2009.
