The LTA will be installing 11 Parking Guidance System (PGS) information panels along major roads leading to the Orchard area. These panels will provide real-time information on the availability of parking spaces at 14 participating developments along Orchard Road, so that motorists are able to plan their route in advance before entering the area.

Motorists who are Twitter fans may expect to receive tweets on traffic conditions while on the go, which would help them plan to skirt congested roads and reach their destinations speedier. The LTA is partnering top local academic and research institutions to spruce up Singapore's transport landscape with innovations like the traffic update tweets.
