The road closure period has been significantly shortened from
twelve to seven days this year. Besides a shorter period of road closures, motorists, stakeholders, race-goers and visitors can continue to access the retail area and offices within the Marina
Bay area through a series of public transport, road access and
taxi arrangements made, to minimise inconvenience to public during the road closures.

A short stretch of Handy Road between Orchard Road and
Penang Road was converted to two-way traffic on 27 August 2009. With the conversion, motorists travelling along Stamford Road have a direct access to Handy Road now.

The bid deposit for Certificate of Entitlements (COE) in
Categories A, B, C and E will be reduced by 50% from $10,000
to $5,000 per bid application for COE bidding exercises
conducted from October 2009 to September 2010. As the bid deposit of $200 for Category D is much lower compared to other COE Categories, there will be no change to the bid deposit for
Category D.
