On-the-Roads e-News Alert
66th Issue

Land Transport Authority (LTA) is pleased to announce that it has completed its review of the Park and Ride (P&R) scheme, and
will be implementing the following three initiatives to improve the scheme:

a. Introducing an on-line channel for the purchase of P&R sets
b. Increasing the number of P&R lots near popular sites; and
c. Stepping-up publicity of less popular P&R sites to raise awareness on the availability of park and ride at these sites.

LTA has completed the VQS review and will change the way the number of COEs released to replace de-registered vehicles. Under the new methodology, LTA will recycle the COE quota
from the actual vehicle de-registrations in the most recent
6-month period back into the system.

LTA received 4,753 bids at the end of the March first open
bidding exercise for COEs. Of these, 2,930 were successful.

From 1 March 2010, off-peak car (OPC) owners can access
three additional services available through the SMS MobileP@y
channel. These services are:

a. Entering usage dates of the e-Day Licence;
b. Changing usage dates of the e-Day Licence; and
c. Cancellation of the e-Day Licence.
