The new 1.3km long dual-three lane road link comprises a vehicular bridge across Marina Bay as well as the newly constructed road, Bayfront Avenue, which runs through the
soon-to-be opened Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort. This
new road will provide a direct connection between Temasek Avenue and Central Boulevard as well as Marina Boulevard.
As the new road network will provide another route option for motorists entering the CBD, the ERP gantry along Bayfront
Avenue towards Temasek Avenue was implemented since 26
April 2010 to close off the existing Bugis-Marina Centre ERP cordon.
